Sue Graham (Agility & Rally Instructor)

Shortly after getting married we got our first Australian Shepherd and another one followed two years later. We were blessed with incredible mentors in the ASCA world and I started showing and trialing in obedience, conformation, agility and was introduced to the world of working stock. Another Aussie followed and training him led to a trip to Texas for the Blue Bonnet Futurity, followed by multiple championships in different sports. Two more Aussies took the place of the original pack and more titles and championships were earned.
My passion for ASCA and the Australian Shepherd led me to become an ASCA Agility judge as well as an ASCA Rally judge. Judging has offered me the opportunity to travel the world and meet handlers and dogs in various countries. One of my greatest honors has been to judge the ASCA Agility Finals not only once, but twice. I enjoy training and trialing in multiple dog sports as well as observing how handlers (myself included!) have a huge effect on what their dogs do. Each day I enjoy watching the antics of our dogs and try to work on being as smart as they are.

Jodi McGreggor (Assistant Trainer)

Jodi joins the Good Dogs Team with a strong customer service and technology background. Her love for dog training happened at the age of 16 when she started volunteering at local animal shelters as a school community service project. Her love and understanding of animals was seen by the shelter staff, offering her an opportunity to learn and work with their head trainers. She has the ability to read a dog's energy and understand their natural instincts. This allows her to create a bond, even with the toughest dogs. Creating a strong bond allows for a more engaging and successful training experience.
Jodi found Kathy while working with her newest (and most difficult) rescue, Pantera; a two year old Belgian Malinois. Jodi has always wanted to learn more behavioral based training in order to help others and further her own packs training. Kathy offers a great learning experience and philosophy that Jodi really grasped.
She is excited to be a part of the elite Good Dogs team where she can share with others her experiences and love of training.
If Jodi is not assisting teaching a class with Kathy, she is the group pack leader for the Good Dogs "Good Manners for Walking" Pack walk. She is always willing to give a helping hand, motivational words, and training tips. Jodi also helps run the Good Dogs website, coordinates special Good Dogs events, and creates exciting promotional material.
Lana Basinger (Assistant Trainer)
Lana grew up always having dogs which sparked her interest in training. She has enjoyed training tricks and teaching her dogs manners so they can become well-behaved family members. She's had a variety of hound, retrievers, herding dogs, and companion dogs. Lana has enjoyed learning and experiencing what each breed specializes in. She has loved doing dog sports such as Agility, Fly Ball, Obedience, Rally, Tracking, and Therapy Dog visits.
In 1999, Lana joined a local dog club where she created the Caring Canines Therapy Dog Program. In addition to founding Caring Canines, Lana was kennel manager for a local humane shelter and a volunteer coordinator. She then found her way back to working at a grooming salon; a job she misses a lot. She enjoyed handling the many breeds of dogs and getting to know her clients.
Lana met Kathy in 2003, searching for an AKC, Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator to test the potential Caring Canines Therapy dogs. While staying in touch with Kathy over the years with the CGC testing, she began assisting Kathy with her various classes beginning in 2017. She helped with the CGC evaluations for Kathy's clients and gave guidance to those wanting to get involved with Therapy Dog visits.
Lana keeps her training methods innovative, taking courses through Absolute Dogs; a dog training course that uses game based training. She continues to help Kathy as an assistant trainer with Good Dogs Training by Kathy Kropp.
